Mohács 500 International Choral Festival
A non-competitive choral event in Hungary, on the banks of the Danube, near the Serbian and Croatian borders.
The three-day choir meeting is one of the highlights of the Mohács 500 commemorative year — where historical remembrance meets cultural diversity and international dialogue in the shared language of music.
The festival features primarily choirs from the nations involved in the 1526 Battle of Mohács, alongside other European and Hungarian ensembles. The programme combines individual performances, joint singing and community events.
The aim of the meeting is to honour the heroes of Mohács in the universal language of music, while letting visitors discover the rich cultural traditions and values of the city.
The Mohács 500 International Choral Festival is part of the 2026 memorial year commemorating the 500th anniversary of the 1526 Battle of Mohács. The full programme of the memorial year is available on the official portal.
